With skin being so dry in the winter months, It’s the perfect time to exfoliate all the dry skin. This scrub is perfect to get that summer glow back!

I love making homemade scrubs because I know exactly what’s in it. This is a scrub I have been using for quite some years and truly do love it.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1/2 Cup brown sugar

1 1/2 Tablespoon coconut oil

1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions:

1.In a microwave safe bowl heat coconut oil for about 15 seconds or until melted. Then add brown sugar and vanilla. Mix until combined.

2. Apply to wet skin and rise.

Note: You can put this in an air tight container and place in the fridge and use it as you wish.

DIY Body Oil for Smooth and Glowing Skin

This body oil has changed my skin. No, trust me it really has, I’ve tried so many lotions and creams and NOTHING has worked like this. A combination of these butters and oil has rehydrated and left my skin feeling so soft! Not only does it leave your skin soft and with a natural glow, but this body oil helps with scars, stretch marks, psoriasis and eczema.

My skin was so dry due to medication, to the point you could see the dead skin cells pealing off. Unfortunately, I don’t have picture to show you, but its was horrible. It looked like dandruff all over my body.

Here are some of the benefits of each ingredient:

Sweet Almond Oil: Contains Vitamin E and A, helps with stretch marks, can help treat psoriasis and eczema, and it’s safe for sensitive skin.

Shea Butter: Contains Vitamins A, E & F,  restores skin elasticity, helps heal minor cuts and burns, lightens scars, relieves joint pain

Cacao Butter: Contains Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C, E

This little mix has done so much for me, I couldn’t help but share.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1/4 cup Sweet Almond Oil

1 Tablespoon Shea butter

Cacao butter (just pick one small piece)

Instructions:

1. Put all ingredients into a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds or until completely melted. Stir the melted ingredients.

2. Apply to damp skin after you shower and then proceed with your routine.

Note: This usually makes enough for 1 day as I use it all over my body. If you have extra just microwave the oils back up again to reuse.
